B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering)

B.Tech ( Mechanical Engineering )

B.Tech ( Mechanical Engineering ) develops the ability to demonstrate the knowledge of engineering and management principles and apply them while doing a project. The study of B.Tech in mechanical engineering is to learn about work, force, mechanics, tools, operations, manufacturing, management, etc.

Program Educational Objectives:

  • To teach designing and drafting of various structures.
  • To provide knowledge about the working of lathe machines, welding machines, calibration tools, etc.
  • To provide hands on knowledge on Automobile Engine.
  • To work on various activities like dismantling, overhauling and assembling of the engine.

The scope of Employment:

Regarded as the evergreen branch, the scope of employment here never dies. Mechanical graduates can enter into automobile world, R&D projects, robotics, thermal environment, etc. to get handsome salaries. Mechanical engineers may also work in the field of biomedical engineering, specifically with biomechanics, transport phenomena, bio-mechatronics, bio-nanotechnology and modelling of biological systems. Apart from jobs, graduates can also opt for Masters Degree in Mechanical to enhance their knowledge bank and research training.

Mechanical engineers can enter both in public and private sectors:

Public sector:

NTPC, NHPC, ONGC, BEL, DRDO, SAIL, GAIL, EIL, UPSC, etc.

Private sector:

Hero, Honda, Escorts, JCB, Maruti, Eicher, standard Tractors, ISGEC, LG, etc.
