M.Ed. (Master of Education)
Advanced Institute of Education, Palwal offers a full-time two-year M.Ed. (Master of Education) program. This program is aimed at preparing professionally competent teacher educators, researchers, and administrators at various levels. As it is a professional program, we at AIE, provide a stimulating environment where students’ skills are polished and their thinking abilities are chiselled and nurtured. To develop their research acumen various workshops on research skills, seminars, conferences, invited talks are conducted from time to time. Students are encouraged to write research papers and publish it in research journals. Apart from providing the theoretical background, the institute inculcates life skills in its students.
Workshops
Various workshops are held which are aimed at improving soft skills of students. At AIE, students are prepared to become mentors. Students are also motivated to organise various activities themselves which develops their leadership qualities. Special coaching by expert faculty is given to students for ensuring their success in various competitive examinations such as National Eligibility Test and other state eligibility tests.
Course Objectives:
- To develop professional attitudes, Values and interests needed to function as a teacher.
- To gain insight and reflect on the concept of Teacher Education and critically examine the contribution of various agencies and regulating bodies in enhancing the quality of Teacher Education.
- To inculcate leadership and team spirit in prospective teacher educators
- Is to understand and appreciate the research perspective on various practices in Teacher Education.
- To make them competent in organizing and evaluating the various components of pre-service and in-service Teacher Education Program.
- To develop an integrated and global perspective about Indian education system.
- To broaden their views about various social issues and transforming them into more humane and sensitive teachers.
- To develop an understanding of the multiple roles of a teacher in existing as well as futuristic socio- cultural and political conditions at national and international level.
Eligibility Criteria:
a. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed. the program should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programs:
- B.Ed.
- B.A.B.Ed., B.Sc.B.Ed.
- B.El.Ed.
- D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each)
b. The reservation and relaxation in marks for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the State Government, whichever is applicable
