Computer Lab
The Computer lab has been designed to suit the requirements of all the students especially at the M.Ed level and is equipped with the latest software to cater their needs of research work. The institute has an air-conditioned Computer Laboratory with thirty computers equipped with printers and scanners. There is a provision of broadband Internet connections along with networking of all the systems through LAN. The students are encouraged to make maximum use of the internet during college hours. Computer literacy workshops are held in the computer laboratory for the benefit of both students and teachers.
Language Lab
Communication skills are the backbone of all teaching and learning process. To enhance the communications skills of pupil and teachers Institute has set up a soundproof language lab with the latest technology. The Lab is equipped to handle 30 users during each session. To augment the linguistic skills of pupil and teachers various activities are conducted.
Psychology Lab
For understanding the various components of child psychology , Institute has well-designed psychology lab which is equipped with wide range of psychological tests, inventories, mind games and apparatus on various aspects of psychology such as Intelligent teaching, learning, creativity, aptitude, interest, personality etc. Psychology tests help in understanding the self and psychology of learners. All students use these tests and M.Ed students, in particular, use them for collecting data from the field in their research work.
Information, communication & Educational Technology Lab
To prepare the future teachers in this digital era, technology plays a vital role. Keeping this objective institute has well equipped Educational Technology lab with the slide projectors, epidiascope, overhead projector, LCD, Television, VCR, geometrical figures, models, charts, maps, transparencies, slides, whiteboard, flannel board etc. Pupil teachers are trained to use these devices in their own teaching and learning. Students are encouraged to become digital professionals.
Seminar Hall
For overall development of students, the Institute has a fully air-conditioned seminar hall with seating capacity of large no. of people at a time. The seminar hall is fully equipped with LCD projectors and the latest technology such as public addressing systems. The design of seminar hall is ideal for discussion, brainstorming, conferences, cultural activities, institute functions and other events.
Yoga Room/ Multipurpose Hall
The Institute has a state of art yoga room where students can learn and practice yoga. The place is ideally designed for meditation and relaxation exercises. The unique feature of this Hall is that it can be used for a variety of purposes and is an ideal space to practice dramas, plays, storytelling and other cultural activities.
Resource Rooms
The centres have Resource rooms for our students where they can create teaching-learning materials. Resource room has been designed to provide hands-on experience to the students. Students are encouraged to prepare their own TLM such as charts, low cost improvised working models, teaching kits and exhibit it in the resource rooms. The Institute has a well-equipped resource room with a variety of teaching and learning materials.
Library
Libraries are the repositories of knowledge and information. Library serves as a tool for lifelong learning and quality education. They are an important pillar of a teacher education institute. To complete this mission of providing quality education our institute has an air-conditioned well-stocked library with a seating capacity of 90 persons. The library is equipped with the latest technology for efficient functioning. We have a rich collection of over 15000 books on diverse subjects such as teacher education, psychology, research, philosophy etc. At present, we subscribe 15 journals of national and international repute. Our Library also has a rich collection of encyclopaedias, magazines, dictionaries and dissertations. We also have a large number of e-resources in the form of DVDs and CDs.
Visual Art Room
Creativity and reflective thinking is the essence of all teaching-learning process. At AIE, students are provided with surroundings where they can reflect, ponder and create. The visual art room is such a place where students can exhibit their creativity and give shape to their ideas. Students are encouraged to decorate art room according to their own imagination and creativity. Students’ exhibit creativity such as painting, murals, handicrafts etc, that are displayed in the art room.
