M.Tech (Mechanical Engineering)
M.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) focuses on emerging technologies in Mechanical Engineering that nurture the scholars to be technical and professional leaders for industry and research centers. It aims at producing Research oriented Engineers who can also get the position of “Technologist” in the industries and Research Institutes. During the course of four semesters, students study the advanced course curriculum and thereafter submit their dissertation in the final semester.
Program Educational Objectives:
- To impart quality education to the students of Mechanical Engineering to excel in their field.
- To develop state-of-art research facilities for stakeholders to excel in the globally comprehensive market.
- To develop associations with R&D organizations and educational institutes for eminence research, consultancy and teaching.
- To promote the post-graduate degree program in engineering by providing Scholarship/ Assistance ship by MHRD to the GATE qualified students.
The scope of Employment:
Every industry in the field of Mechanical Engineering which has its own research and development requires people with post graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. During placement drives, companies like Google, CISCO, TATA, Skoda, Maruti, LG electronics, Siemens, Samsung, etc. offer higher salary packages to master degree holders in Mechanical Engineering as compared to Bachelor degree in engineering.

- Metrology lab.
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must have the qualifying degree as a regular student from any university recognized by UGC /Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with minimum 50% marks(47.5% marks in the case of SC/ST) in aggregates. Preference will be given to the candidate with a valid GATE score.
B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering/Thermal Power Engineering / Automobile Engineering / Robotics Engineering / CAD / Mechatronics / Aeronautical Engineering/Industrial Engineering.
